BBC GCSE History

I was commissioned by MoMo Animation Studio in London to create a series of background illustrations for the BBC Bitesize GCSE History sections. These illustrations were adapted into 8 short animated films, and I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with an art director, a character designer, and two animators. The background illustrations needed to adhere to a semi-realistic/flat style, and it was a rewarding challenge to bring them to life in this way.

The 8 animated films covered a range of themes including: "Causes of Crime," "Changes in Health and Medicine," "Developments in Warfare," "Combatting Crime and Enforcing Law and Order," "Methods of Punishment," "Changes in Patterns of Migration," "Depression," and "Wartime." It was a diverse and interesting project to work on, and I enjoyed bringing these themes to life through the illustrations.
